As part of my univeristy Springboards project, I crafted an immersive installation artwork that aimed to transport the audience into a serene natural world. The centrepiece of the installation was an enchanting forest, inviting visitors to take a seat and fully immerse themselves in the therapeutic benefits of nature. Accompanied by headphones, participants listened to a carefully curated soundscape I recorded, featuring birdsong, running water, and the crunching of twigs, enhancing the immersive experience. The installation incorporated a blend of creative art forms, including mushroom lanterns made from willow, a landscape backdrop created with charcoal and watercolours on a sheet, and various other material features. This multisensory artwork sought to capture the essence of the healing properties inherent in spending time amidst nature, providing a momentary escape for the audience.
