Mill Street Hostel
I had the privilege of facilitating art well-being workshops at Mill Street Hostel, a haven for homeless and displaced adults. In this setting, I endeavoured to create a safe space that not only offered an opportunity for individuals to reconnect with their creative selves but also fostered connections among participants. Through a variety of hands-on craft activities, including clay work, paper mache, weaving, and other art forms, we engaged in a collective journey of exploration and skill-building. Beyond teaching new artistic techniques, the workshops provided a valuable distraction from the daily struggles faced by the residents. My time spent at Mill Street Hostel was deeply rewarding, allowing me to witness the transformative power of art in fostering a sense of community and self-expression, and I had the pleasure of meeting some truly remarkable individuals along the way.
